About Tamoxifei
Tamoxifei is commonly known as a SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator). While sometimes mistakenly called an “anti-estrogen,” it is more accurately described as a SERM. SERMs act as estrogen receptor agonists or antagonists depending on the target tissue.
In the context of athletic performance and steroid use, Tamoxifei is primarily used for the prevention of gynecomastia. It works by competing with estrogen for receptor binding in breast tissue, effectively blocking estrogen’s activity in that area. This means that when steroids prone to aromatization are used, Tamoxifei can be an important companion to reduce estrogen-related side effects.
